After a string of flops, he suddenly sees a light at the end of the writer’s-block tunnel when his student Clifford Anderson hands him a script that’s just crying out to be a hit. Exactly what Sidney needs right now! Jokingly, he tells his wife, Myra, that he’s going to kill Clifford and steal the promising play.

Full of twists and turns, DEATHTRAP has always been a genre-defining play, keeping audiences worldwide captivated. The play holds the record as the longest-running comedy-thriller on Broadway, received four Tony Award nominations – including Best Play – and won the Edgar Award for Best Play.
