Jonny Magnanti

MAJOR GENERAL BENJAMIN BUTLER

Born and brought up in Leeds, Jonny moved to London in 1984 to attend the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and has lived down south, give or take a year or two back in Leeds, ever since.

Since leaving drama school Jonny has enjoyed a career in all aspects of the profession from West End plays and musicals, theatre tours, rep, film, television, and voiceovers where he has voiced many TV and radio campaigns.

Moving to the East Sussex countryside in 2010 Jonny took some time out to be a full-time dad, and with both children now grown up, returned to the profession playing Igor in the National Theatre’s production of THREE WINTERS directed by Howard Davies, The Premier of THE MOOR at the Old Red Lion Islington, HAPPY JACK at the Brockley Jack studio theatre, Oberon in MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM and Malvolio in TWELFTH NIGHT. He also filmed MUSKETEERS for the BBC, DOCTORS, LUCKY MAN and AMERICAN MONSTERS. More recently he has been filming THE GIRL BEFORE again for the BBC, scheduled to be shown soon.

Jonny has just finished directing the UK premiere of John Patrick Shanley’s PRODIGAL SON with his now grown-up son and completed the role of Antony in an open-air summer production of ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA in June 2022.

He is delighted to be appearing in Hamburg for the fifth time. Previous productions being ABSENT FRIENDS in 1994 and MOON OVER THE BREWERY in 2012, 39 STEPS in 2021/22, and just recently GREAT EXPECTATIONS as well as ROMANCE IN D in 2022/2023.

Cameron Barclay

LIEUTENANT KELLY

Cameron initially trained as a dancer at the Northern Ballet School in Manchester. After completing his training he performed in stage shows for Holland America Lines aboard the MS Westerdam and from there went on to join the stage productions of the Potters Theatre Company at Potters Resort. He also appeared as a dancer in a number of episodes of ITV’s VICTORIA (Mammoth Productions). After further training at East 15 Acting School (MA Acting Distinction) he has gone on to appear in a number of short films including SWEET DREAMS (Nicolas Motte) and the music video for WAKE ME UP (MrMr Films) by Foals. Cameron has also performed in the Copenhagen fringe theatre scene in WHEN THE TIME COMES (Desiré Mangaard) with Teater Rendezvous. Theatre credits whilst training include Macbeth in MACBETH, Trofimov in THE CHERRY ORCHARD, and Vladimir in WAITING FOR GODOT. BEN BUTLER marks Cameron’s professional stage debut as an actor.

Hayden Mampasi

SHEPARD MALLORY

Hayden Mampasi trained at Drama Studio London on the BA Acting course graduating in 2021. He made his theatre debut at the New Diorama in PASSION FRUIT which he won Best Supporting Actor in a Play at the Black British Theatre Awards. His other credits include MACBETH/ROMEO AND JULIET (Guildford Shakespeare Company), UNLOCKING CANNONS HOUSE (Attic Theatre Company), and CUFFED.

Will Middleton

MAJOR CARY

Will recently trained at Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance in London and has since worked in Rep, London Fringe, and UK touring theatre productions as well as in film.

His theatre credits include Friar Laurence in ROMEO AND JULIET (Chelmsford Civic Theatre), Bob Cratchit in A CHRISTMAS CAROL (UK tour, Chapterhouse Theatre Company), Man (lead role) in ABIGAIL (Etcetera Theatre, London), Bob/Mr Whyte in CIRCUS (Harold Pinter Studio, London) and most recently the role of The Hobo in THE POLAR EXPRESS (Spa Valley). Will is also a voice-over artist.
