Richard Ings

ROBERT

Richard left a lucrative career in broadcast TV twenty years ago to make his professional acting debut as Henry Higgins in PYGMALION (Italian theatre tour). He has since notched up performances as Polonius in HAMLET (The Bunker, London), Leonato in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING (Veni Vidi Theatre, London), The Duke of Venice in OTHELLO (Chelsea Theatre, London), and Osborne in JOURNEY’S END (Mesh Theatre, Belgium). He played Walter in the European premiere of THE WOODSMAN (Red Lion Theatre), and has performed in French, playing Arnolphe in L’ECOLE DES FEMMES (Baron’s Court Theatre) and Tarom in QUEL TARTUFFE ! (Vienna’s English Theatre tour). He was last at the English Theatre of Hamburg in 2024 playing Paul Riggs in the comedy thriller MURDER BY MISADVENTURE, and previously, in 2015, playing Reverend James Morell in Bernard Shaw’s CANDIDA. He has been seen on TV playing French diplomat Francois Georges-Picot in the docudrama LINES IN THE SAND, and can also be seen currently appearing in the Netflix crime thriller THE ALIENIST, starring Daniel Bruhl. As a producer he has brought three brand new shows to theatres in London and Edinburgh (PARASITES, HEADCASE and SHELTERED) and is currently working on bringing his own original translation of Eugene Labiche’s MR PERRICHON’S TRAVELS to the stage. As a voice actor, he has narrated the audiobook version of the fictionalised memoirs of Pompey the Great, THE GREAT ONE, and his original music can be heard on Spotify under the pseudonym A Sea With 3 Stars.

Georgiana Casbarra

CATHERINE

Georgiana trained at The Manchester School of Theatre, having previously attended The BRIT School. She has built a varied career across both stage and screen. Screen roles include Lesley in THE LARKINS for ITV. Theatre work includes Katie in LONDRES at the Park Theatre and Lady Alicia Wallace in THE GHOST OF CANTERVILLE with Smile Theatre.

Her recent projects include the short film VARNISHED, which premiered at the Brighton Rocks Film Festival, where it was nominated for a comedy award. Alongside her acting work, Georgiana continues to develop her screen technique through weekly training with Victoria Alcock.

This is Georgiana’s first season with The English Theatre of Hamburg, and she is delighted to be joining the company.

Katherine Bristow

CLAIRE

Katherine Bristow trained at Drama Studio London. She has mainly worked in film and as a Voice Over Artist narrating several Audiobooks. Film credits include Louise in WHISPERS IN THE BREEZE, and Terrorist Two in CAPTURE. Audiobook narration includes THE CHILDREN’S CLASSICS with Sweet Cherry Publishing, A THISTLE AND HIVE CHRISTMAS & ALL IN GOOD TIME by Jennae Vale, and THE ROYAL COURT SERIES by Anne R Bailey. Theatre credits while training include: Barbara in MIGHTY ATOMS, Viola in TWELFTH NIGHT and Sonya in UNCLE VANYA. While training at University (Drama and Theatre Studies), credits include Susan in TWILIGHT OF THE GODS, and ensemble in SAMAWEO SIKO with GOLKK Theatre Company. PROOF will be Katherine’s professional stage debut.

Peter Dewhurst

Hal

Peter trained at the Oxford School of Drama (One Year Acting). He has worked extensively in UK theatre with companies such as Wildcard, Parabolic Theatre, and The Lord Chamberlain’s Men – his credits range through Shakespeare, comedy, physical theatre and immersive performance. He has also developed and toured his own solo-show, HOW WE THINK WE THINK (Exit Productions). Peter’s theatre credits include Jack in THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, Malvolio in TWELFTH NIGHT (The Lord Chamberlain’s Men) and Adam in AI LOVE YOU (Exit Productions). Peter has also worked in film and TV between the UK and Canada, appearing in Netflix’s BRAND NEW CHERRY FLAVOUR (Netflix), BATWOMAN (Warner Bros), and THE TWILIGHT ZONE (CBS). This is Peter’s second season with The English Theatre of Hamburg, having previously played Bill in LOBBY HERO (2024).
